IT was with some surprise that I read in your issue of June 27 [1992] that I have “alleged links” to the Ku Klux Klan.

Apparently these allegations were made by various leftist and/or Jewish groups that had petitioned the Home Secretary to have me barred from the United Kingdom. These groups organised the demonstrations in London on July 4 for the purpose of preventing the Committee for True History and British historian David Irving from holding a seminar at which I was one of the speakers.

The only “links” I have had to the Ku Klux Klan are my having represented several of their members in cases as well as having represented them in defending the right of that organisation to freedom of speech and assembly.

My disapproval of the Ku Klux Klan has been publicly stated. The Klan is a discredited organisation that does far more harm to the survival of European Americans than it does good. If it did not exist, the leftists and minority, racists for whom it is a perfect foil would have to invent it. I have counselled every Klan member I have represented to leave the organisation.

It could be said that I have “links” with blacks, since I have represented 20 black clients for every Klan client.
