NEW YORK, Sept. 23 /U.S. Newswire/ — The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) today announced that Jewish community leaders from around the world will meet in October in New York to discuss strategies for responding to the rise of anti-Semitism around the world.

The ADL Conference on Global Anti-Semitism, featuring a keynote address by Nobel Peace Laureate Elie Wiesel (right), will take place in New York City, October 31-November 1.

‘Who would have thought that more than a half century after the Holocaust, anti-Semitism on a new and dangerous scale would find expression,’ said Abraham H. Foxman, ADL National Director. Joining with age-old anti-Semitic canards, Jew-hatred emanating from the Arab and Muslim world spreads instantaneously through the Internet and satellite TV.
