The Cost of all This

Can Nato’s street-porterish spokesman gives us a rough estimate of how much all of this is costing us defenceless taxpayers? How much of the cash is going to the U.S. arms industry, since most of the weaponry, including even the RAF Harriers, is now manufactured over there?

Can Mr Blair or Mr Cook give us a rough estimate of how much we could have improved our own teachers’ and nurses’ pay, or even MPs’ maternity-leave pay, if it wasn’t for this expensive meddling in other countries’ affairs?
