A family archive onReinhard Heydrich
FOR FIFTY years this collection of photographs (see below), which once belonged in the private photo albums of the widow of Reinhard Heydrich who was assassinated by Allied agents in 1942) remained in private hands.
Acquired by an American author, Jean Vaughan, it was purchased by a Chicago antique dealer, and then by a famous American document collector, along with a folder of documents including private letters written by Lina Heydrich describing her late husband, his works, his relationships with Heinrich Himmler. The items were last in the possession of
- William Rasmussen.
