Website explanation: On May 24, 1945 three Russian officers inspected the body. The sketch identifies them as Lt Col Ievlev, Capt Kutchin and Colonel Gorbushin. According to The Manchester Guardian, May 25, 1945, these were Marshal Zhukov’s representatives supervising the German surrender.
