A Hitler Painting offered for sale

NETHERLANDS art collector Herman Koningen acquired this oil painting on wood in 1975. He reports that its size is 10×15 cm and it is signed “A. Hitler” in the familiar manner of the German leader’s earliest works. He says that has a file of letters concerning its authenticity including letters from Hermann Weiss, an archivist of great integrity, whom we often dealt with before his retirement, at the Institut für Zeitgeschichte in Munich dated October 1985 and January 1986. Konrad Kujau, the notorious forger, has denied that the work is by him. This website makes no claims either way on the painting’s authenticity. An enlargement of the signature detail is below. Offers are invited in excess of $10,000, please email the collector (below) and keep us informed.square
