Focal Point Publications, 81 Duke Street, London W1M 5DJ. tel. [+44] 171 499 9409, fax 409 7048 London, Wednesday, March 18,1998 We have corresponded in the past, and the causes of this correspondence are becoming increasingly distasteful. In the course of my legal action against Deborah Lipstadt, whom your Board has been assisting, I have reviewed for the first time a number of documents including a Press Release which you issued on January 14, 1993. This reads:
I am enjoined from using a document obtained under RSC 0.24 in any other litigation until it is in the public domain. This document is however not only grossly offensive, but it is untrue, defamatory, and consequently libellous in several of its statements, which were unprovoked by any statement or action on my own part. Should it become necessary to commence proceedings for defamation against your Board in future I shall produce this and all other such publications as evidence of a reckless ongoing campaign of malicious defamation, which I shall use to justify a claim for punitive damages against your Board.
