 I am pleased that you are giving some coverage to Canada’s political prisoners. Doug Collins’s conviction inclines me to believe that now only a protracted armed struggle is now going to save Canada. Mr. [Paul] Fromm has unfortunately mistaken an issue, there is no legal definition of what constitutes “hate propaganda” contained in Section 319 of the Canadian Criminal Code. It is the only crime that has no legal definition. In this context Lewis Carroll comes readily to mind “words will mean exactly what I want them to” |

From my own experience (1992) when I was fighting to avoid being deported, it became plain that the police were tapping the phone and faxes of my lawyer Doug Christie prior to my arrival in the country and during the trials. I confirmed this when I found the wiretap versions in the files of various ministries under the Access to Information Act. Something seems to be going wrong in your country.
